liner notes:
lucky guy, rhythmic, bouncy fun tune, lovin' life, never miss the bliss, dodging raindrops just for fun, joy, attitude of gratitude. this track is about a guy that gets all the breaks, and is very thankful for his easy luck. no rush, just enjoy life. do the right thing, and things will work out, right? this guy thinks so, and he may be right. hope so. his luck is not taken for granted, but is deeply appreciated, he knows what he owes so he keeps it real, at the same time, keeps a sweet balance, great if you can pull it off. this cat has his philosophy on straight. Watch it, the mellow vibe is contagious!
the music does pull it off, in the balance of easy-going and insistent rhythms and musical flows. instrumentation is rock ballad, slyly cool with easy latin-carib riddim tools, lots of short-lick hand drumming, a few reggae/latin drum licks, and plenty sound effects to nice up the feel and spice up the nice. soft down-beat mellow guitar chords, sweet repeats, double flutes, spacey effects, and a funky mellow (reggae-inspired) organ rhythm are the main players. cool is the watchword, reggae-style bass, mellow lyrics and feel, all the way. instruments trade off the leads, like a round robin of mellow licks, between flutes, organ, and guitars. so i will “say my say, and just move on”, because I know you will feel it too. stick with me, and we will share the good vibes, the good fortune, and the good life.

lyrics:
ever have a lucky day?
things just seem to go your way
dodging raindrops just for fun
bullet proof from the starting gun
when the timing just works out
feel you get what its about
or just to say another way
every days my lucky day
and i know what i know
it aint time thats slow
but i won’t hurry as i go
there’s a feelin in the air
what is right and what is fair
keep my council till the dawn
say my say, and just move on
catch that look upon your face
double time to stay in place
if yer feelin the same way
every day’s our lucky day
and i know what i owe
the price will only grow
may i pay as i go?
